Lexus RZ 450e MSRP: The new Lexus electric SUV price beats the Tesla Model Y price

Till now Lexus was primarily focussing on the Hybrid Model. But with the launch of its brand new RZ 450e SUV, the company finally moved to fully electric cars.

The parent company Toyota also revealed that Lexus will go fully electric by 2030. After years of ignorance and seeing the new trend in the auto industry, the company had to shift its focus to be in the industry.

But with this launch, the company has surprised people with the price of the new Lexus RZ 450e. You will be amazed to know that it is priced higher than the Tesla Model Y.

So, the question is, is it worth owning and paying more than Tesla Model Y?

What is the price of Lexus RZ 450e?

As per the official website, the new electric Lexus RZ 450e SUV is priced at $59,650. And, this is the starting price.

On the other side, the Tesla Model Y is priced at $54,990 which is lower than the Lexus trim Model’s starting price point of $59,650.

Price goes higher with higher segments and with add-on features. Higher end premium model may cost you around $65,150.

When the whole EV market is facing tough competition, it will not be easy for Lexus to compete with its first-ever fully electric car with this higher price point.

Particularly, when EV leader like Tesla is standing tight in the market. This is like a face-to-face fight in the first go.
